‘Brigital’ agency Festina Amsterdam is gevestigd in het Chateau in Amsterdam-Noord. Jochem van Berne volgde onlangs oprichter en managing director Remy Harrewijn op als managing director.

Van Berne voelt zich als een vis in het water in de wereld van digital en branding. Het samenbrengen van deze twee disciplines noemt hij ‘brigital’. Van Berne: ‘Deze hybride aanpak is in de huidige tijdgeest essentieel.’ Zes recente cases…

FC Hyena

Commentaar Valeria Lanz, operations manager & illustrator Festina Amsterdam:  ‘FC Hyena is a boutique cinema, exquisite wine bar and restaurant in Amsterdam-Noord. We created a brand identity and website based on geometric shapes and bold colours that are also used to complement the industrial look of its location, giving it a cosy yet playful feel. It’s the kind of place you’ll remember!’

Bandit Amsterdam

CityHub

OneFit

Commentaar Ferry van Zijderveld, creative director Festina Amsterdam: ‘Onefit is a digital scale-up. Through an app you can pick a gym/sport in your area, wherever you are, and get ready for some “sweat & joy”. When developing the identity, we took ‘changing the game’ literally and reshaped the playground markings to compose visual elements. This also pathed the way for a new logo, colours and typefaces.’

Viktor Romeo

Commentaar Ferry van Zijderveld, creative director Festina Amsterdam: ‘Viktor Romeo is a Paris based VR cinema by Diversion Cinema. When developing the identity, we started by thinking that we want VR to be more human, instead of having a purely technological approach. That’s why we gave it a human name - Viktor Romeo - and based the identity on the idea of 360 degrees: Surrounded by Film.’

FDMCI

Klant: Hogeschool van Amsterdam, Faculteit Digitale Media en Creatieve Industrie (FDMCI)

Commentaar: Yvonne Hoffmann, project manager Festina Amsterdam: ‘The new FDMCI brochure is the luxury business card of the FDMCI staff. It allows them to present themselves internationally, so we needed to make a statement, while keeping it functional. We used various geometric patterns to represent the different courses within the faculty and screened them over the staff members and students for their portraits.’
